Abstrakt přednášky:
This habilitation thesis focuses on acoustic gunshot detection, localization, and identification. It outlines the evolution of the developed systems from simple, low-cost detectors to sophisticated distributed systems that utilize sensor networks, advanced signal processing, and machine learning techniques. A key aspect of this research is the emphasis on cepstral coefficients, which enable reliable feature extraction even in complex acoustic environments. The developed algorithms demonstrate high detection accuracy, achieving rates of up to 99% under specific conditions, and allow for firearm caliber classification. Additionally, the work explores the potential for precise localization of gunshots using spectral methods. The proposed methods represent a significant advancement toward the practical implementation of acoustic systems in military and civil protection, urban security, and other applications.
