    The compensation ferrometer is an instrument for the measurement of open specimen soft magnetic materials parameters at AC magnetization based on the magnetomotive force compensation method. New magnetizing process regulator that controls voltage induced in measuring winding (magnetic flux density waveform) and the voltage induced across Rogowski-Chattock potentiometer (compensation) was developed recently. This paper deals with a new compensation ferrometer design that allows taking the full advantage of the new regulator. New ferrometer based on STEMlab platform improves precision and speed of the measurement.

    The magnetomotive force (MMF) compensation method is the powerful one for the measurement of open specimen soft magnetic materials parameters at AC magnetization. Although the effective control of the MMF compensation magnetizing process is relatively complicated, the other compensation method properties make this method excellent for precise absolute measurements. Compensation ferrometers (SSTs based on the compensation method) could be improved by more efficient magnetizing process control. This paper deals with the magnetizing process regulator based on the model of the compensation ferrometer magnetizing equipment. The regulator design, its properties, implementation and results of the measurements with described regulator are presented in this paper. The regulator improves the precision of the hysteresis loop measurement by more than ten times. It could be simplified for the IEC method magnetizing equipment.

    This paper deals with the model of compensation ferrometer magnetizing equipment suitable for magnetizing process control. The magnetizing equipment model provides voltages in Rogowski-Chattock potentiometer and voltage winding that must be controlled on the base of input voltages ie. magnetizing voltage and compensation voltage. This model uses simple three parameters model of the specimen hysteresis loop in saturation state that is suitable for fast real-time parameters identification.

    A precise microprocessor controlled programmable generator of periodic magnetizing signals for compensation ferrometers was designed and realized. Generator digitally synthesizes and generates AC random waveform signals with amplitudes 0 – 10 V and frequencies 10 Hz – 120 kHz at sampling rates up to 20 MSPS and maximum 2048 samples per period. Generator exactly and reliably fulfils the most important functions of the compensation method magnetizing process – autonomous uninterrupted signal generation and simultaneous adaptive signal waveform correction. Results of measurement on realized generator are presented.

    Modelling of dynamic hysteresis loops of soft magnetic materials is carried out by extended hyperbolic model. The extension is based on pure phenomenological approach and consists in elliptical component addition. This component features rounded shapes of dynamic hysteresis loops at low intensities of magnetization and it needs two parameters only. Fitting parameters for each loop are searched individually, and their dependences are then approximated by rational functions. The final model operates with approximated parameters. Proposed model was tested for the material FeNi47Cu5 at sinusoidal excitation at frequency 50 Hz.

    The magnetic flux density of defined waveform is an important magnetizing condition for AC soft magnetic material measurements declared by the International Material Standard. Due to strong non-linearity of magnetic materials, magnetic flux dispersion and non-zero resistance of the magnetizing winding, the magnetic flux density waveforms are distorted at high intensities of magnetizing. This waveform distortion must be corrected by special PC (or microprocessor) controlled correctiuon systems. New correction algorithms and software for developed correction systems are presented.

It consists of three components by means of mathematical functions. Favourable mimicking coefficients were searched, which depend on excitation amplitude and frequency. The nature of its behaviour was studied in order to be able to predict the loop shape. The model was tested for opened specimen of classic silicon electrical steel at sinusoidal excitation, measured by compensation ferrometer.

Upgraded Magnetizing and Measuring System for Compensation Ferrometers

    Original magnetizing and measuring system for compensation ferrometers with AD14 PCI digital-analogue data acquisition cards was upgraded. New data acquisition cards KPCI 3110 (firm Keithley) are used. The upgrade brings system simplification, higher system rate, higher magnetizing and sampling frequency, effective magnetic flux waveform correction, real possibility for MMF compensation method digitization, easier system control (hardware, software).

Single sheet and on-line testing based on MMF compensation method

    The main problem of the opened magnetic material specimen AC testing (single sheet testing and on-line testing) is correct evaluation of the magnetic field strength in the tested material (sheet, strip). This problem is solved by the MMF compensation method use. The universal measuring system - ferrometer KF9a based on the MMF compensation method was constructed. The results of the KF9a measurements are presented.

    Kniha je 2. dílem dvousvazkové monografie. Její koncepce je založena na systémovém pojetí zpracování signálů. Zabývá analýzou lineárních časově invariantních obvodů a systémů: První kapitola je věnována analýze v časové oblasti a řešení základních přechodných jevů 1. a 2. řádu. V dalších kapitolách jsou čtenáři seznámeni s různými transformacemi signálů, usnadňujícími analýzu lineárních obvodů v různých provozních režimech. Je uvedena analýza periodického neharmonického ustáleného stavu, operátorové řešení přechodných jevů a vyjádřeny různé typy přenosových charakteristik. Další části se zabývají analýzou obvodů s vícepólovými prvky a obvodů s rozprostřenými parametry. Závěrečná kapitola je úvodem do teorie diskrétních signálů a systémů.     The use of the BARAB monitoring system during the construction of the Valík highway tunnels near Plzeň proved to be extremely useful since immediate access to information was essential for quick and safe decision-making. The basic monitoring range includes the following: the geological observation of the faces, the measurement of settlement on the surface of the area observed, extenzometric measurements in vertical drills from the surface of the terrain, the measurement of horizontál deformations in the surrounding massif using inclinometers, the measurement of deformations of the primary lining (measurement of convergence), the measurement of stress in the primary lining, the measurement of loading on the rock-lining contact, and reference measurements of seismic effects on the surrounding environment during blasting. The results of individual measurements from the tunnel driving processes are mutually interconnected since they are situated in three associated profiles.

    New universal control and measuring system for classic and amorphous soft magnetic materials single/on-line strip testing is presented. The measuring system allows to measure magnetization characteristic and specific power losses of different tested materials (strips) at AC magnetization of arbitrary magnetic flux density waveform at wide range of frequencies 20 Hz - 20 kHz. The measuring system can be used for both single strip testing in laboratories and on-line strip testing during the production process. The measuring system is controlled by two-stage master-slave control system consisting of the external PC (master) completed by three special A/D measuring plug-in boards, and local executing control unit (slave) with one-chip microprocessor 8051, connected with PC by the RS232 serial line.
