Looking back to the ACM RACS'15 hosted by FEE

The FEE at CTU in Prague hosted the ACM RACS'15 through the weekend of 9-11th October. The conference on adaptive and convergent systems brought together over 100 scientists from 16 countries. From the 309 submission only 75 full papers were accepted with additional 22 posters.

Even though the 24% acceptance rate was rather low, the CTU doctoral students made 9 accepted submissions. Among the most distinguished visitors were Prof. Vahid Tarokh from Harvard University with speech on Cognitive Radio Networks, but also many others, such as
IEEE President-Elect of Canada, Prof. Amir Aghdam or the president of ACM SIGAPP Prof. Sung. Y. Shin from South Dakota State University.

The host prepared for the conference attendees rich program with social events, keeping in mind that one day they may become research partners, visiting professors at CTU or they may share their experience with faculty members in some form – like participation in joint projects etc. Four faculty members received The Outstanding Service Award. Namely (in alphabet order) Ing. Tomas Cerny, Bozena Mannova, PhD, doc. Karel Richta and Prof. Pavel Slavik.
