The Department of Computer Graphics and Interaction celebrated 10 years

The 10th anniversary celebration of the foundation of the Department of Computer Graphics and Interaction took place at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at Charles Square on Wednesday October 10. DCGI is the youngest department at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, CTU. It was founded in 2008 to develop high-quality teaching and top-level research in the fields of Computer Graphics and Human-Computer Interaction. Its roots date back to the 1980s when the key staff of the department created the Computer Graphics Group.

DCGI is led since its founding by prof. Jiří Žára, research project manager and author of a number of international publications and university textbooks. Other members of the department are internationally appreciated researchers and dedicated teachers. Thanks to this, the DCGI Department is a well-balanced workplace, both for research and teaching. Within the Czech Republic, it is the academic workplace with the widest range of teaching in its field and with the greatest scientific/publishing performance.
