Anotation:

The subject makes familiar with selected parts of the digital signal processing in communication. The digital image processing is emphasized.

Study targets:

Students learn advanced methods in the digital filter design and implementation of selected algorithms using digital signal processors.

Course outlines:

1. Digital signal processing in communication.
2. Digitization of image signals.
3. Representation of images.
4. Architecture of DSP, blocks, registers.
5. Architecture VLIW, instruction set.
6. Design tools, Code Composer Studio, assembler, linear assembler, C.
7. Code optimization, Intrinsics, CPU and EDMA, interrupts, cache.
8. Transformations DCT, KLT, DWT.
9. Advanced design of FIR filters.
10. Design of 2-D and m-D FIR filters.
11. Image filtering, filtering of sequences, adaptive filtering.
12. Image compression.
13. Video compression.
14. Advanced implementation of DSP algorithms.
