The subject describes the system design, electronic solutions, conception characteristics, reliability and its increasing of electronic security and safety systems. It reports solutions of electronic sensor systems and methods of security system design, usage of modern electronic components and microprocessors. It offers practical applications suitable for safety systems of houses, cars, industry companies.

Course outlines:

1. Mechanical security
2. System concepts of security systems
3. Signal interference and inner sensor system noise
4. The protection - perimeter, object, space in object
5. The subject protection, sensors of moving, sensors of occupations
6. Control units - basic types, input processing circuits
7. Output actuators, power control interface
8. Access systems including biometric
9. GSM communication, CCTV (close camera systems)
10. Car security - components and systems
11. The system reliability, methods of reliability increasing, reliability models
12. The dynamic and hybrid back up
13. The logical system error rate
14. Preparation and design of project documentation, legislation

Exercises outline:

1. The breakglass sensor, the shake sensor, the tilt sensor
2. The pyroelectric sensor (parameters and properties), optical gate, signal processing, coding
3. Smoke sensors, fire sensors, gas sensors, sensors of toxic materials - parameters and properties
4. Ultrasound sensors - directional characteristics, sensitivity, signal processing
5. The evaluate control unit, logical and control, the connection of peripherals
6. Hybrid control unit second category, the architecture, the connection of peripherals
7. The programming of hybrid control unit, the possibility of software equipment
8. The professional bus control unit, the logic and the connection
9. The communication with control unit, GSM/GPRS phone communication instrument, bus RS-485
10. Access systems with card, RFID, biometric (fingerprint)
11. CCTV systems - cameras
12. CCTV - the logic, the processing of signals, the signal record
13. The car electronic security system, the GPS system (car tracking)
