How did photovoltaics, thanks in part to the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at CTU, evolve from a technological curiosity into an important field that unquestionably belongs in the 21st century? This will be highlighted in a poster exhibition at the FEE CTU. The opening will take place on Tuesday, January 20, at 4:00 p.m. at the FEL Café (Technická 2 - Dejvice). Students, teachers, and anyone who would like to take a peek behind the scenes of photovoltaics education at FEE CTU are invited to attend. Registration (free of charge) is required.
The exhibition will commemorate four anniversaries related to photovoltaics, namely:
- The 40th anniversary of the launch of the student science club at the Department of Electrical Engineering (R. Čada, J. Varhaníček, head V. Benda), and thus research in the field of photovoltaics
- The 30th anniversary of the launch of photovoltaics teaching as a separate subject (Solar Energy Utilization Systems, lecturer V. Benda)
- The 15th anniversary of the launch of the Photovoltaic Systems Diagnostics Laboratory (head L. Černá, expert guarantor V. Benda)
- 10th anniversary of the existence of the Center for Advanced Photovoltaics at FEL (T. Markvart, J. Holovský, L. Černá)
The opening will be an opportunity to meet not only FEL CTU teachers, but also some important players from the field of photovoltaics applications.
