Outcome-Based Education (OBE) has become an important framework in modern higher education, focusing on measurable learning outcomes, student-centered teaching, and continuous quality improvement. It emphasizes what students are expected to achieve by the end of a course or program, ensuring alignment between teaching methods, learning activities, and assessment. However, the level of awareness and implementation of OBE principles can vary among instructors. While some courses already incorporate clearly defined learning outcomes and aligned assessments, others may still rely on more traditional approaches. This seminar aims to provide a clear introduction to OBE concepts and to encourage discussion on how these principles can be effectively integrated into teaching practice.
Specifically, the seminar will cover:
• A brief introduction to Outcome-Based Education and its key principles
• Explanation of Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs) and Course Learning
Outcomes (CLOs)
• Alignment of teaching methods and assessment with learning outcomes
• Practical examples from teaching practice
• Open discussion on challenges and potential improvements in implementing OBE
