How to Revive History: Inspirational Meeting of Students and Employees of CTU at Santini’s Chapel

For students For employees

On Tuesday, February 4, 2025, we commemorated the 348th anniversary of the birth of the architectural genius Jan Blažej Santini-Aichel with a meeting for students and employees of CTU. Participants at the event held on the campus of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering CTU at Karlovo náměstí received information about the history of the Chapel of the Holy Sepulchre, which masterfully combines Baroque, Gothic, and Renaissance elements.

They could not only admire Santini’s unique sense of harmony between geometry and spiritual space but also engage in discussions about the future of this architectural monument. The debate included the possibilities of making the chapel accessible to a broader public and its further use. The valuable inputs that emerged during the discussion will be a source of inspiration as we plan the future of this structure.

If you were unable to attend, you still have the chance to get involved! Share your views on the future of Santini’s Chapel through our questionnaire: link to questionnaire. Your opinions are valuable to us!
