Universities are supposed to contribute to the development of society and to actively discuss ethical issues, while at the same time, as employers, they are supposed to create a safe working environment, including an intellectual environment. The interaction between a large number of learners and workers entails the creation and development of close relationships, i.e. personal relationships, the nature of which may go beyond the boundaries of professional behaviour. On the one hand, there is mutual understanding, sharing of feelings, thoughts and emotions, expressions of trust, respect and affection. On the other hand, there is a potential conflict of interest, lack of transparency and a threat to the true consensuality of the relationship.
We are opening a debate on close relationships at the CTU Faculty of Economics - a topic that affects us all. Come and learn about the risks of these relationships and the ways in which they are treated by universities abroad and at home, and contribute to the discussion of FEL CTU's approach to this issue.
On Wednesday, 26 February at 16:15 in Dejvice, room T2:C3-337.
