Ing. Josef Krška for the dissertation "Application of UWB for position estimation using angle-based and range-based methods" supervised by Ing. Václav Navrátil, Ph.D.
Ing. Tomáš Kouba, Ph.D. for the dissertation "Quantitative digital voice analysis as a valid biomarker of Huntington disease" supervised by doc. Ing. Jan Rusz, Ph.D.
The main requirement for the award is the exceptional quality of the doctoral thesis. The quality indicators include:
- Publication of the dissertation results in one or more articles published or accepted for publication in a journal with impact factor in Q1 or a paper at a CORE A*/A conference for which the student is the main author,
- obtaining a significant number of citations of articles used in the dissertation in WoS, Scopus or Google Scholar, especially if the PhD student is the lead author,
- winning an award, e.g. Best Paper Award,
- a significantly positive review by an internationally recognised expert.
The thesis must be written in English and submitted within 5 years of starting the programme.
The authors of the award-winning papers and their supervisors receive an honorary mention from the Dean and a financial reward. Congratulations.
