Career Days 2026: Six thousand students from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at CTU will meet with ninety employers

For students

The Faculty of Electrical Engineering and the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the Czech Technical University in Prague are organizing their traditional Career Days, which will offer students a unique opportunity to meet potential employers and gain valuable contacts for their future careers. The event will take place on March 31 and April 1, 2026, on the campuses of both faculties in Dejvice, with approximately 3,500 students from the CTU Faculty of Electrical Engineering and 2,500 students from the CTU Faculty of Mechanical Engineering participating.

Record-breaking employer participation and five floors filled with technology

This year’s event will feature nearly 90 companies and organizations on the employer side, occupying five floors of the buildings at both faculties. For companies, this is a unique opportunity to present their projects, technological solutions, and career opportunities directly to students in technical fields.

Over the past few years, Career Days have become one of the largest university events of its kind in the Czech Republic. Every year, students from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering gain an overview of current trends in the job market, establish contacts with industry professionals, and seek opportunities for internships, thesis projects, and future employment

The academic and industrial sectors in one place

"Today, technology permeates virtually every field—from energy and transportation to manufacturing and financial services. In a sense, more and more companies are becoming technology companies. This opens up a wide range of opportunities for students in technical fields, who can apply their knowledge across a variety of industries. We therefore view Career Days as an important platform where our students can meet with company representatives, learn about their projects, and find inspiration for their future career paths," said Prof. Petr Páta, Dean of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at CTU.

Assoc. Prof. Miroslav Španiel, Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at CTU, adds: "Our industry partners are interested in graduates of technical fields. Career Days provide an opportunity for informal meetings between our students and company representatives, where they can compare their expectations and requirements, and I believe that in many cases, these meetings mark the beginning of successful careers for many of our future graduates. The presence of representatives from a wide range of industrial companies is also a welcome opportunity for our researchers and scientists to meet with traditional partners and establish new partnerships while discussing current technological challenges. For our faculty, this is a welcome gathering of representatives from the academic and industrial spheres."

Who will be there? Major players and innovative startups

Among the major companies participating in this year’s event are Škoda Auto, ČEZ, Rohde & Schwarz, Valeo, ORLEN Unipetrol, Siemens, Qminers, and the Swiss CERN, as well as a number of other technology companies and innovative startups from the Czech Republic and abroad.

The Career Days will take place in the buildings of both faculties in Dejvice at Technická 2 and Technická 4, Prague 6. The event will run both days from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Detailed information about participating companies and the program is available on the official website of the FS FEL Career Days.
