For graduates For students For applicants For employees

Nonlinear Analysis, Function Spaces and Applications is the title of the conference, which will be held from Monday, June 1, to Friday, June 5, 2026, by the Department of Mathematics at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, CTU, in collaboration with the Institute of Mathematics of the Czech Academy of Sciences in Prague at the Technická 2 building. This will be the 13th edition of the international mathematics conference focusing on nonlinear functional analysis and the theory of function spaces.

The event, intended for the professional community, has been held regularly every four years since 1978, and this year the Department of Mathematics at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering (FEE) of the Czech Technical University (CTU) will host it for the second consecutive time. Previous organizers were the Institute of Mathematics of the Czech Academy of Sciences and the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics at Charles University.

The Department of FEE CTU is represented on the organizing committee by the committee chair, Assoc. Prof. Zdeněk Mihula, and Dr. Hana Turčinová.

As Assoc. Prof. Mihula notes, NAFSA 13 will bring together experts from renowned global institutions. A total of eight invited speakers will present at the conference, seven of whom are from abroad. They will be Anna Balci from Bremerhaven University of Applied Sciences, Polona Durcik from Chapman University, Ryan Gibara from Cape Breton University, Franz Gmeineder from the University of Konstanz, Victor Lie from Purdue University, Vít Musil from Masaryk University, Paolo Salani from the University of Florence, and Daniel Spector from National Taiwan Normal University.

The invited speakers thus include not only world-renowned experts in theoretical areas of mathematical and harmonic analysis such as ergodic theory, analysis of partial differential equations, function spaces, and the calculus of variations, but also experts in mathematical modeling.
