"The academic program will be delivered by experts in aerial robotic systems from leading universities around the world. In addition to the theoretical lectures, participants will have ample opportunities for networking with international students—we expect around 250 students from abroad," said Prof. Martin Saska, Head of the Multi-Robot Systems Group at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, CTU.
"Participation in all lectures is completely free for CTU students, with the exception of the accompanying social program, laboratory exercises, and hands-on experiments. Upon successful completion of the Summer School, students will be awarded 2 ECTS credits," Prof. Saska added.

Who and What to Look Forward To?
Each year, the Summer School hosts world-renowned researchers and scientists. This year’s speakers include Oussama Khatib, Professor of Computer Science and Director of the Robotics Laboratory at Stanford University. His research focuses on novel control architectures, algorithms, and the design of human-friendly designs. The outcomes of his projects target applications in healthcare, healthy living, industry, services, agriculture, smart city development, as well as challenging and hazardous environments such as mines, outer space, and the deep ocean.
Another featured speaker is Chuchu Fan, Associate Professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), affiliated with the Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics and the Laboratory for Information and Decision Systems. Together with her research group, she focuses on applying formal methods, machine learning, and control theory to the design, analysis, and verification of safe autonomous systems.

A Balanced Mix of Theory and Practice
During the practical sessions, teams will develop algorithms for cooperative robotics. According to the organizers, the exercises emphasize collaboration, idea sharing, and mutual learning among participants working on related research topics.
Teams will use a state-of-the-art autonomous drone platform developed by the MRS Group in collaboration with Fly4Future, a Czech robotics company and official CTU spin-off. The knowledge and experience gained throughout the program will culminate on August 4, when participants deploy cooperating aerial robots in the Eagle.One testing arena on Císařský Island in Prague.
