Call for Language Instructors: Share Your Experiences with AI in Language Teaching at an International Workshop

For employees Science and Research

How can artificial intelligence be meaningfully integrated into foreign language instruction at the university level? This is precisely the question that will be addressed at the international workshop AI in Language Education as a Matter of Practical Methodology, which will take place September 16–18, 2026, at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Czech Technical University in Prague (FEE CTU).

The event is jointly organized by the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Czech Technical University in Prague, and the Technical University of Munich (TUM) as part of the EuroTeQ alliance. The workshop will bring together university language instructors from partner European universities, who will share practical experiences with the use of AI in teaching, present their own case studies, and jointly develop methodological recommendations and a shared database of teaching materials.

The organizers are now inviting interested participants to submit a short abstract (200–300 words) on the topic of using AI in university language teaching. They are primarily looking for active participants who can present specific experiences from teaching, pilot projects, or research.

Submitted abstracts will undergo a peer-review process. Selected presenters will receive free admission to the workshop thanks to support from the EuroTeQ program. The deadline for submitting abstracts is August 15, 2026 (email jennipet@fel.cvut.cz).

The workshop is primarily intended for university language instructors. The organizers are also considering the possibility of involving students who are actively engaged in the use of AI in language teaching and can share their own experiences or findings.
