There are still places available for Field Day, an amateur radio competition taking place from 3–5 July at the FEE training centre in Temešvár, South Bohemia. The event is organized by the Faculty's Radioklub and welcomes both experienced amateur radio operators and complete beginners. "For newcomers, we have prepared a series of workshops introducing the world of amateur radio communication and satellite communications," says Dr. Petr Ondráček, head of the Radio Club from the Department of Telecommunications Engineering at FEE CTU. Only four places remain for this year's FEL Camp summer science camp, themed "Ghostbusters." Participants will embark on an exciting adventure near the Orlík Reservoir, solving mysteries inspired by electrical engineering, information technology, and the natural sciences. Evenings will feature campfire discussions and traditional Czech sausage roasting. FEL Camp takes place from 3–7 August at a campsite near Temešvár in South Bohemia. New students entering the Open Informatics (OI) programme can join the OI Buddy programme. Each participant is paired with an experienced student who will be available in person or online to answer any questions about studying Open Informatics or making the transition to university life. Dive into Programming and Electronics
Never programmed before? No problem! FEE once again offers its Summer Programming Bootcamp. Running from 14–17 September, the course introduces the programming fundamentals needed for first-semester classes while helping participants develop algorithmic thinking and gain practical experience solving programming problems. New students enrolled in the Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering and Management (EEM) programme can attend the Introduction to Electrotechnology course from 14–18 September. Participants will learn how to assemble electronic circuits, explore the properties of electronic components, use a multimeter, practice soldering, and carry out many other useful experiments.
Students entering the Cybernetics and Robotics (KyR), Electronics and Communications (EC), and Open Informatics (OI) programmes can also enrol in the Practical Electronics Course. The session for KyR and OI students runs from 31 August–4 September, while the KyR and EC session takes place from 7–11 September. The course is suitable for complete beginners as well as students who already have some experience with electronics and would like to deepen their knowledge. For students joining the Medical Electronics and Bioinformatics (BIO) programme, FEE is organizing a multi-day workshop from 7–10 September in Chlum u Třeboně. Participants will gain hands-on experience in a medical electronics workshop, attend engaging lectures, and get to know their fellow students. Students from both first and higher years are also welcome to attend the LASO Summer School of Algorithmic Training, held from 14–16 September. Don't worry if you're new to programming—the lecturers adapt the difficulty to participants' experience levels. The programme covers fundamental programming techniques, algorithms, and data structures used in real-world IT. Registration is here.
If you feel that you could use a refresher in high school mathematics and physics before the semester begins, preparatory courses in these subjects will be held from 7 to 18 September.

Join an Orientation Camp!
Looking for an easier transition to university life? FEE's orientation camp combines practical advice for first-year students with sports, trips, and plenty of opportunities to meet new friends. The camp takes place at the FEE training centre in Temešvár near the Orlík Reservoir in three sessions:

Another orientation camp, organized by the university student association zaČVUTění, is held at Mácha Lake from 31 August–4 September and 5–12 September. Open to first-year students from all CTU faculties, the participation fee is CZK 3,790 per person. Registration is available on the website.
