Should the Faculty of Electrical Engineering have an ombudsman? How can his/her independence be guaranteed? And should the ombudsman be available only to students or also to staff? These are the questions for a discussion organised by the HR Award group and the Dean of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Prof. Petr Páta.

Dita Jahodová (ombudswoman of the Faculty of Architecture), Radka Mika Havlíková (ombudswoman of the Faculty of Nuclear and Physical Engineering) and Helena Hexnerová (student ombudswoman of the Faculty of Civil Engineering) will talk about their experiences from the ombudsman's point of view.

The discussion will also be attended by other faculty personalities: Martin Št'astný, the head of the working group for the selection of the ombudsman at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, the Dean of FEE, Prof. Petr Páta, and members of the HR Award team. The discussion will be moderated by Prof. Pavel Ripka.

In addition to the aforementioned questions, the discussion will focus on topics like whether the future FEE ombudsman should be a person already employed at the faculty or rather someone from outside.

The discussion can also be followed online.
