Invitation for Workshops: Students of Computer Science Can Expand their Knowledge in IT Security, Application Development and Project Management

For students

In the upcoming summer semester, students of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and the Faculty of Information Technology can expand their knowledge in the field of software engineering through workshops. They will be organized by the Center for Knowledge Management FEE CTU. A total of five workshops will be held on Mondays from 9 am to 3 pm in the newly renovated room T2:B2:39d.

At the beginning of each workshop, participants will learn the necessary theory, thereafter they will practice everything under the guidance of experts in the field. At the end they receive homework to practice. On completion of at least three of the five workshops, participants will retrieve a certificate to confirm their knowledge of the topics covered.

Participants can look forward to the following areas:

March 13th

March 27th
Introduction to DevOps - participants will learn that the job of a "DevOps person" is not only to modify configurations, but that it is a diverse portfolio of activities without which applications would not be available to users.

April 3rd
React.js basics - the main principles of user interface development will be introduced and students will learn important techniques for working with React through practical examples.

April 17th
Project Management in Practice - the session will focus mainly on the Waterfall and SCRUM methodologies and their adaptation to the corporate sphere.

April 24th
Application Security - Students will learn how to effectively identify security requirements for newly developed systems and verify that they are met.
