Trends in AI research at Prague Comic-con

For students For applicants

Thousands of comic book, sci-fi, fantasy and cosplay fans had a second Christmas this past weekend. Prague Comic-con took place, and our faculty was among the organisers. We came to the O2 Universe to show how we turn sci-fi into reality and what the latest trends in artificial intelligence research are.

Two SPOT robots and two six-legged walking robots were running around our exhibition stand in the local tech zone. Visitors had the opportunity to charge up a few thousand volts on a Van de Graaff generator, make a badge with their design and, thanks to our collaboration with Aignos, chat with an interactive AI-generated digital persona - the first Czech superheroine, the Beer Maiden.

Many visitors also attended a lecture on AI research trends by our experts from the Artificial Intelligence Center experts. Jiří Kubík and David Valouch explained to the audience what we use our robotic pets for and discussed the use of AI in practice and the possibilities, limitations, risks and challenges associated with AI.
