"This year, the students have once again raised the bar, not only in terms of the graphic and visual aspect of their presentations, but also in terms of their chosen form and the use of LLM tools," says project founder Tadeáš Salaba.
Team Negawatt came away with the win
This year's Olympiad was dominated by a trio of this year's graduates Matyáš Flek, Matěj Špicl and Adam Černý from the Gymnasium, Prague 8, Ústavní 400, who came up with a proposal on how to combine digitalization and agriculture using a DIY app. The whole presentation was also supported by a practical demonstration and an elaborate business plan. The boys used the last possible opportunity to participate in the Olympiad not only to win, but also the opportunity to get into FEL CTU without entrance exams, which they decided to take advantage of and thus become students of the faculty from autumn.
The second place went to the team &"Ne 2025" from the Gymnasium Jiřího z Poděbrad with an innovation in the field of printed connections. Students Martin Lukavec, Jakub Svoboda and Lukáš Kolenčík described the current issue and presented a feasible business model with precise cost calculations and a path to deployment in practice.
The third place went to the team "Humanitarian bombing" of students David Procházka, Daniel Lukas and Tadeáš Těhan from the Gymnasium Ostrava-Zábřeh and the product called "Bioprint" - 3D printing of building structures with the addition of microcomponents - fungal mycelia, which stood out from the other presentations with a good description of the technology and the possibility of implementation in the real world of construction.
Milan Dufek from Škoda Auto, who also sat on the jury, concluded, "Some of the teams showed us the connection between technology and social issues, which was great, and for me personally it was another successful year and I will definitely look forward to the next one."
