"This year, 60 posters have been registered, 11 more than last year," said Dr. Libor Husník, the main organizer of the conference. Libor Husník, who works at the Department of Radioelectronics at FEE, also noted that the Biomedical Engineering category has the highest number of papers, 17.
Other sections are Communications, Electronics and Instrumentation, History of Science and Technology, Informatics and Cybernetics, Natural Sciences and Power Engineering.
This year, there will not be a Management category, but there will be a new form of presentation for some contributions. "This year's novelty will be the so-called ‘elevator pitch’, i.e., a three-minute presentation of topics by 12 students," said Dr. Husník. These presentations will take place in meeting room 80.
"The POSTER conference is perfect for early-career researchers in particular, in that they get to experience the conference process and practice," emphasized Dr. Husník. Also this year, POSTER will host presenters from abroad - for example, from the Universities of Aachen, Padua, Darmstadt, and Graz. Students from CTU will be attending from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and the Faculty of Biomedical Engineering, and there will also be presenters from the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague.
