- Ing. Jiří Horyna, Ph.D. for the thesis "Control and Stabilization of a Swarm of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles" under the supervision of doc. Ing. Martin Saska Dr. rer. nat.
- Ing. Ailing Zhong, Ph.D. for the thesis "Holow-core Nested Antiresonant Nodeless Fiber Based Optical Systems" under the supervision of doc. Ing. Matěj Komanec, Ph.D.
The main requirement for the award is the exceptional quality of the doctoral thesis. The quality indicators include:
- Publication of the dissertation results in one or more articles published or accepted for publication in a journal with impact factor in Q1 or a paper at a CORE A*/A conference for which the student is the main author,
- obtaining a significant number of citations of articles used in the dissertation in WoS, Scopus or Google Scholar, especially if the PhD student is the lead author,
- winning an award, e.g. Best Paper Award,
- a significantly positive review by an internationally recognised expert.
The thesis must be written in English and submitted within 5 years of starting the programme.
The authors of the award-winning papers and their supervisors receive an honorary mention from the Dean and a financial reward. Congratulations.
