The aim of this paper is to provide a descriptive overview of methods for the process in investment decision making, dividing marketing quotations and main goal is to help with the orientation of investors in the area of energy for the period of market liberalization in energy and fossil fuels for the Czech Republic and European Union and also to introduce more sophisticated methods in evaluating economical advantages in energy investments.
