Ion deflectometry in Z-pinch plasmas

Dissertation topics

Neutron diagnostics of fusion plasma

  • Branch of study: Applied Physics
  • Department: Department of Physics
    • Description:
The theme of the work will be focused on the design and construction of detectors for the diagnostics of fast neutrons and ions originated in fusion plasma. We expect the development of instrument for measuring of neutron yield (activation counter), enhancements to existing scintillation detectors and the development of various diagnostic for measurement of fast ions. http://www.aldebaran.cz/oro/temata.php

Numerical simulation in plasma diagnostics

  • Branch of study: Applied Physics
  • Department: Department of Physics
    • Description:
The theme of the work will be focused on the Monte Carlo simulations for diagnostics of fast fusion neutrons and other optimization using genetic algorithms. Currently, the similar simulations are developed at Imperial College in England and at Sandia Nat. Lab. in USA. Since 2013, the kernel of the code is available on CTU. The future thesis will be based on this kernel. http://www.aldebaran.cz/oro/temata.php
