Radio Resource Management for Device-to-Device Communication in 6G

  • Branch of study: Electrical Engineering and Communications
  • Department: Department of Telecommunications Engineering
    • Description:
The objective of this thesis is to propose advanced algorithms for the radio resources management in heterogeneous mobile/wireless networks enabling device-to-device (D2D) based communication. The main goal is to cope with ultra-high requirements on spectral and/or energy efficiency via reusing radio resources by multiple communication links, expected in future 6G networks. To solve radio resource management problems, such as resource allocation, allocation of transmission power, and interference management, various optimization approaches should be utilized, including convex optimization techniques, non-convex optimization approaches, or machine learning.
