FEE will show a robotic zoo and robot rescuers at the Science Fair. You will also get an unusual souvenir

For applicants

Are you going to this year's Science Fair? If so, don´t miss the stand of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of CTU. This year, we are also preparing an interesting programme for young and old visitors, during which people will have fun and learn something about technology.

At the FEL you will meet robotic pets that our scientists are developing and improving. "You can look forward, for example, to the small robots, whose control can be tried by visitors," said Ing. Jakub Sláma from the Centre for Artificial Intelligence of the FEL CTU. He noted that his team will also bring a "spider" hexapod and prepare interactive tasks with a maze, where you can try solving common robotic tasks yourself.

"At the Science Fair, we plan to showcase the Spot robot with a robotic arm and autonomous object collection. Then a rescue and exploration robot MARV, which will autonomously follow its leader," pointed out Ing. Bedřich Himmel from the Department of Cybernetics. "This is a real scenario of deploying a rescue robot carrying equipment for rescuers. These are all works of our students," added Ing. Himmel.

Also at the Science Fair, you will go through a mini-course on soldering components under the guidance of FEE students. Thanks to it, you will get both an original souvenir and a good feeling of having learned something new. (Not only) children can then make a badge based on our patterns or their own design.

This time, the exposition at the Science Fair will be "brightened up" by the popular Van de Graaff generator. What can it do? Well, charge a man up to 10,000 volts and give him a very fancy haircut. High school students, who will be graduating in the next few years and are attracted by technology, can talk to students of our faculty about anything they are interested in regarding their studies at FEE.

Come on!

We look forward to seeing you every day from 30 May to 1 June in Hall 6 of PVA EXPO Prague - in the stand complex of the CTU.
