Artificial intelligence as a key tool for future leaders. CTU launches new micro-certification course for managers

The Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the Czech Technical University in Prague (FEE CTU) and the Masaryk Institute of Higher Studies CTU (MUS CTU) in cooperation with the organization prg.ai launches a new course called "AI Mastery for Business Leaders". The four-day intensive program is designed for company leaders and HR specialists who want to gain a deeper understanding and practical experience in the use of AI in the corporate sphere. The course will take place in Prague from 26 to 29 May 2025 and ends with a micro-certificate.

How to get a head start with AI? Top computer scientists and experts from companies will train

The course combines interactive lectures, case studies and practical workshops where participants will work with real company scenarios. The course will be taught by top academics from the FEE CTU. The lecturers will include Prof. Jiří Matas, Prof. Tomáš Svoboda and their colleagues, who will present the technological foundations of AI and machine learning and large-scale language models.

In addition, experts from Blindspot, Datasentics, Gen, Make and The Mama AI, who have extensive experience in implementing AI in enterprises, will demonstrate the practical business implications. The specific use of AI in business with an emphasis on management, marketing and HR will be presented by Dr. Ladislava Knihová from MIT CTU. Her lectures will be complemented by interactive workshops, where participants will immediately test their new knowledge in practice.

"It is not a classical theoretical teaching. Participants will work on concrete projects, share their experience with experts and with each other and gain useful contacts for future cooperation," says Dr. Vladimír Janíček, coordinator of the course from the Centre for Professional Development at the Czech Technical University in Prague

Today, AI is changing the game in a wide range of industries. The course will provide participants not only with theoretical knowledge, but above all with practical skills in areas such as strategic decision-making using AI, its application in human resource management, the technological foundations of AI or the implementation of AI in business.

"Managers and executives today face the challenge of navigating the rapidly evolving field of artificial intelligence. Our course will give them a practical insight into the principles of AI, its specific applications and effective ways of integrating it into corporate strategies," says Dr. Ladislava Knihová, expert guarantor of the course from MIT CTU.

CTU, EuroTeQ and prg.ai as partners for innovative education

The course is part of the pilot modules of the EuroTeQ joint programme for managers. The EuroTeQ project is a collaborative initiative of several leading European technical universities to promote cross-border education, research and innovation. It aims to create a pan-European ecosystem for technical education with an emphasis on interdisciplinary learning, collaboration with industry and sustainable entrepreneurship. CTU in Prague is the only university from the Czech Republic involved in the EuroTeQ programme.

The prg.ai organisation is one of the main partners in the course and provides links to the business community and its wider promotion. "We see further education in the field of AI as essential, and I particularly welcome this initiative by CTU, which introduces AI beyond the generative one to company employees. In my opinion, it comes at the right time and illustrates well the necessary cooperation between educational institutions and the private sphere," welcomed the creation of the course Lukáš Kačena, director of prg.ai.

The course, which will be held in English and is paid for, is part of the CTU's Lifelong Learning Programme. Participants will receive an official microcertificate upon successful completion. The course programme is available on the website https://czv.cvut.cz/ai-mastery/, and you can register here.
