Description:
Plenoptic imaging system registers the amount of radiation in every pixel in the space, usually applying the image microlens array sensor. Recorded plenoptic pictures contain large amounts of data to be efficiently compressed in practical cases. The Thesis will be focused on the development of new advanced lossless and lossy compression techniques.

The Quality of Experience perceived by a human observer is crucial in the design of modern multimedia systems. Recent multimedia communication systems exploit new technological advances (HDR etc.) and they require new processing techniques of audiovisual information. The Thesis will be targeted to new approaches for QoE modeling and its application for multimedia transmission optimization.
