Coding, synchronization and signal processing in hierarchical MAC stage of wireless physical layer network coding radio networks

Dissertation topics

Distributed and iterative coding/decoding and signal processing for multi-source and multi-relay radio cloud networks

  • Branch of study: Electrical Engineering and Communications
  • Department: Department of Radioelectronics
    • Description:
Design and performance analysis of distributed and iterative algorithms in coding, decoding, signal processing and self-organization in WPNC based radio cloud network. http://radio.feld.cvut.cz/~sykora

Machine learning and AI algorithms in signal processing and coding for dense radio communication networks

  • Branch of study: Electrical Engineering and Communications
  • Department: Department of Radioelectronics
    • Description:
An application of ML (Machine Learning) and AI (Artificial Intelligence) in signal processing and coding in communication system physical layer. The core of the work should focus on the utilisation of learning methods in scenarios with undefined or weakly defined system model. It particularly applies to network codebooks and constellation used at the transmit side, and the network channel model and topology. A critical analysis of trade-offs between classical and ML/AI based approaches.

Network Coding, Signal Processing and Adaptation in Self-Reacting Intelligent Radio Propagation Environment

  • Branch of study: Electrical Engineering and Communications
  • Department: Department of Radioelectronics
    • Description:
The Network with Self-Reacting Environment (SRE) can be viewed as a generalization of Wireless Physical Layer Network Coding (WPNC). It uses network structure aware coding and processing, it must fully respect the physical layer attributes of processing and propagation, and on top of WPNC it allows the propagation environment to self-react in a variety of ways (e.g. based on some local propagation optimization decision, distributed over-the-air control, etc.). The SRE is typically involved in mmWave communications in topologically constrained scenarios. The work should develop information-theoretic models, tools and concepts for WPNC/SRE and practical coding and processing methods.

Synchronization and signal processing for radio cloud networks with Wireless Physical Layer Network Coding

  • Branch of study: Electrical Engineering and Communications
  • Department: Department of Radioelectronics
    • Description:
