Combination of biology, medicine, computer science and electronics

The use of electronics and informatics is now standard practice in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases and will continue to develop in the future.

The Medical Electronics and Bioinformatics degree programme prepares you to work in development and analysis teams dealing with medical electronics and software and in healthcare facilities. You will gain a broad foundation for technical practice and a possible scientific career, which usually includes a PhD at home or abroad.

Medical electronics and bioinformatics (BIO)

The field at the crossroads of IT and medicine will impress you with the complexity of teaching in human health. The BIO programme prepares students to use modern technology to improve the quality of life and human health. In the BIO program, you will learn how modern medical devices work. You'll experience how computers can make doctors' jobs easier when making a diagnosis. You will gain a broad theoretical, mathematical, and physical foundation and knowledge of electrical engineering, electronics, and computer science, complemented by biomedical fundamentals and medical applications.
