Mathematics, algorithmization and programming

The Open Informatics programme equips you with knowledge in the field of computer science, which you can apply especially in artificial intelligence, machine learning, graphics, games, intelligent software or the Internet of Things.

Computer Science (CS) is the part of informatics that uses mathematics to program systems to work more efficiently. Computer scientists then implement the computational principles that underlie all software. As a computer scientist, you can work on creating intelligent systems or computer games, but also on multidisciplinary electrical engineering and computer hardware projects, including robotic systems.

Open Informatics also teaches courses that are part of the inter-university prg.ai Minor, focusing on artificial intelligence. Through prg.ai Minor, you can take the best computer science courses taught at various universities in Prague.

Open Informatics (OI)

In the OI program, you will learn to work on the creation of intelligent systems or computer games, as well as multidisciplinary electrical engineering and computer hardware projects, including robotic systems.

Study optiones

What projects do we deal with?

You will soon get to practical tasks at the OI from the necessary theory. You can get involved in projects that deal with large-scale distributed systems, scheduling communication messages in real-time communication networks used in aircraft, cars, and other vehicles, or researching and developing planning and coordination algorithms for automatic information gathering by teams of autonomous drones.
