Reviewing a thesis has a double taste: It requires our precious time and energy for digesting often not-so-familiar topics as we originally thought when we agreed to review the work. On the other hand, we are given a unique chance of reaching out to the students one last time before they vanish forever. However, those who have been at the state exams know that elaborate reviews are not quite the cup of tea on a hot summer afternoon. Where is the sweet spot in review verbosity? What is the no-go zone which calls for an ultimate F-grade? How do others prepare their reviews? And is it a good idea to ask the students to demonstrate their results before the exam? Come discuss this and more on the next installment of the FEE Teacher’s Club.
